Here in the Okanagan Valley, we are passionate about harvesting quality produce and serving locally-grown food. We spoke with Chef Chris Remington of the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Hooded Merganser Bar & Grill to discuss the beauty of using fresh ingredients in his dishes.
Overlooking Okanagan Lake, the Hooded Merganser at Penticton Lakeside Resort serves up fresh, delicious food and an unforgettable view. Valley View Farm, the only working farm in the city of Penticton, produces fruit and vegetables exclusively for the resort. The farm uses ‘FlowHives’, self-contained beehives which enable honey to be extracted without disturbing the bees.
Executive Chef, Chris Remington, takes the fresh produce (over 1000lbs a week!) and seamlessly integrates it into the daily menu of the Hooded Merganser. The result? Fresh, fragrant cuisine served farm to table.
