Located on the acclaimed Black Sage Bench in Oliver, the site on which our vineyard sits has been recognized as one of the most exceptional in Canada. With an incredible number of sunlight hours – more than Napa Valley in the summer months – and diurnal temperature variations due to our desert climate, along with our southwest facing aspect, our grapes develop rich and intense flavours.
We act as stewards of the land on our vineyards from bud break to harvest, where we hand pick and process the grapes. In the cellar, our terroir-centric Rhone and Bordeaux varietal wines are given meticulous attention through each step of the process from barrel aging to blending and bottling. Our winemaking team is deliberate in their selection of the best blocks for our premier wines, constantly monitoring and tasting throughout the aging process. Blends are determined based on each vintage’s variables.
Wines are released when they have reached optimum flavour and aroma. Each step is done mindfully and with care. This follows right through to our guided tasting experience where each wine is presented with each detail considered, including ensuring the wines are in the correct glassware, served at the right temperature and enjoyed in our beautiful Wine Experience Centre setting. It’s all about creating a memorable experience that will leave our customers feeling each step has been carefully considered along the way, a feeling that will stay with them every time they taste our wines.
