Route 97 – A Joint Partnership
This partnership has the full and active support of elected officials from three counties (Okanogan, Chelan, and Douglas) and their cities in Washington State, the elected officials from the three Regional Districts (RDOS, CORD, NORD) and their communities in British Columbia, the Colville Confederated Tribes and the Okanagan Nations Alliance. Its mission is to promote this unique region for the benefit of all its varied communities. Particular emphasis is on the Highway 97 corridor and all its tributaries.
Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association
The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) is a not-for-profit society. It is governed by the BC Societies Act and an elected Board of Directors who represent business and community tourism interests throughout BC’s Thompson Okanagan region.
It is one of six regional tourism organizations in the province of BC that work under the Super, Natural British Columbia brand, and whose mandate includes marketing the Province’s tourism products. TOTA is an industry-led organization that represents and supports all business and community tourism interests throughout the Thompson Okanagan. They also assist with the implementation of Provincial tourism policies.
North Central Washington Economic Development District
The North Central Washington Economic Development District (NCWEDD) is a federally designated economic development district for the NCW region covering Okanogan, Douglas, and Chelan counties and the Colville Confederate Tribes.
The NCWEDD is responsible for regional economic development strategy and planning. It collaborates with various private and public agencies to accomplish this goal. The NCWEDD brings together the private and public sectors. This partnership is necessary to provide a coordinated strategy and an ongoing economic development program for the region.
