Arts and culture abound through the Route 97 corridor. Artists, writers, musicians, artisans and performers have made this corridor their home. World class venues, both indoors and out, are yours to discover at concerts and events in every season.
Arts and Culture
There are operas and symphonies and live theatre up and down the valley. The Arts and culture of the Columbia Cascades in and around Route 97 encompasses a wide variety of ways artists express themselves. Carvings, pottery and metal works at a farmers’ market, buskers on the street, painters on a promenade, bronze sculptures in a park – the list is darn near endless.
Come and enjoy Pop, Rock, Blues, Opera, Jazz and Chamber music up and down Route 97 at festivals and weekly events that are sure to get your feet moving, or at least a toe or two tapping.
Take in the Goodstock Festival in Okanogan, WA or the Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival in Cashmere, WA. Funtastic is Canada’s largest slo-pitch and music festival in Vernon, BC. Salmon Arm is home to the famous Roots and Blues Festival. Check our events page for more music events.
